High Pressure Oil Pump BYPASS Check Ball

Steel check ball that is kept in place by the "Black Bypass Cap" located on the passenger side of the pump.

This ball can be lost while servicing the HPOP which will cause a "no start" condition.  This is the stainless steel ball found in all 1994.5 through 2003 7.3 Diesel High Pressure Oil Pumps.
