Genuine Ford Fuel Canister Check Valve Pipe with New Spring and Check Seat

For all 1999-2003 7.3L Diesel F-series, Ex, and 1998 E-series

Check Valve assembly that is in the center of the fuel canister, held in place by the fuel heater. The fuel filter slips over and down this unit.

The check valve is always open when the vehicle is operational and only closes when the fuel canister lid is removed. This action keeps the fuel in the fuel rails of the engine and fuel lines in a liquid state and does not allow expansion of the fuel to force itself back into the fuel canister when changing the fuel filter. By keeping the fuel from vaporizing in the fuel rail, you will experience easier engine starts after changing filters.
