This left-hand threaded check valve assembly is the stand pipe that comes up through the fuel filter element and holds the heater element in place.
A GENUINE FORD/NAVISTAR part, not aftermarket will replace all check valve assemblies in the 94 1/2 to 98 E and F series 7.3L trucks.
