This is the compressor wheel that Garrett installs on all of the Factory Rebuilt Turbos from the 1994 TP-38 turbo to the 2003 GTP-38 turbo. 80 mm factory-balanced compressor wheel from Garrett both E and F series.
Beginning with the late 99 model Powerstrokes, Garrett began manufacturing their own intake compressor wheel and discontinued using the Borg-Warner wheel on their turbos for the 7.3 liter engines. They even began using this wheel when building new replacement center cartridges for the 1994 through the early 1999 turbos as their new design improved performance with increased boost levels on these early model turbos.
If your turbo compressor wheel is showing signs of damage, this is a genuine Garrett factory wheel and many consider the improved design of the Garrett wheel to be a performance improvement for the 1994 - early 1999 turbos.
