Typical symptoms of a damaged CPS includes engine dying while driving for no apparent reason, restarts easily. No start condition with no Tach movement while cranking.

Some owners of the 1997 - 2003 have found that using this CPS on the newer models have been able to eliminate the cylinder contribution error on cylinder #3 that the gray CPS will cause on some engines.
