Product ID: #12-001 - Fuel Drain O-rings MIL M25988/2 Fluorosilicone

Description:
  • Fuel o-rings for extream environments

Beware of other sites selling fluorosilicone o-rings that do not list the military specification as they are most likely M25988/1 or the seller does not know. This is a softer compound (durometer 70) that will not hold up with the dynamic seal that is necessary on the Ford fuel drain valve.

Fuel Drain valve kit for the 94-03 7.3 fuel drain. The 94-97 E/F-series require a third o-ring to seal the drain valve shaft (order below).

Order of 1 is a set of 3 o-rings. The third o-ring is for the stem valve for all 94-03 F-series trucks. Downloadable instructions below.

Easy install if you can reach the back of the fuel bowl. Go buy a US or German Torx bit, mine was a T20 for a 2000 F350, 7.3litre, not a Torx 15 as listed in the instructions. I used a racketing Hope to get many miles out of this fix without the raw diesel smell in the cab with the AC/Heat on. Great product and saves $$$ over a dealer part and install. JPS, Dallas TX

JPS, Thanks for pointing that out, it is a typo error in the instructions as all have the #20 torx and I will correct the instruction sheet.

Worked great. No more leaks and saved almost $50.00 over drain valve at Stealership (spelling is correct). This will be the fist place I look when I need for o-rings. Thanks, Ray

12 Jan 2010. Received my fuel drain o-rings today at 0930 and by 1130 the job was successfully done. I down loaded the installation instructions and followed them to the letter. So easy even a Caveman can do it. Thanks for a great product. Recommend to everybody with a leaking fuel bowl. FATARTY

Bob was 100% right on with the instructions. Hope this keep me leak free of another 8 years. Also, remember to put the reinforcement sleeve and plastic ball back in the top of the valve stem. Yep....I remember it just as I had tightened down the last screw. Bob....you covered everything else to the tenth degree....may want to put a reminder in about the sleeve and ball. I will recommend Bob and this product to everyone with a Diesel vehicle!
